Soms afgekort als LSB, is het minst significante bit het laagste bit in een reeks getallen in binair; de LSB bevindt zich helemaal rechts van een string. In het binaire nummer 1011100 1 is bijvoorbeeld het minst significante bit uiterst rechts 1.
